近十多年来“撤村建居”“土地换保障”等一系列推进城郊农民市民化的地方政策遭遇了被土地财政搭便车、农民意愿不强等意外结果。本书认为城郊农民市民化涉及正确对待和改造传统农民和农村的重大问题，需要成为社会学的重要论题。本书梳理并运用角色理论来解释城郊农民市民化的社会条件，从安全经济学的视角理解城郊农民的选择与困难，建议国家和地方政府选择更为合理的城乡社区衔接路径，以实现平顺的城郊农民市民化。

In the past decade or so, a series of local policies to promote the urbanization of rural farmers in the suburbs, such as "relocating villages and building houses" and "land for security", have encountered unexpected results such as free riding by land finance and weak willingness of farmers. This book argues that the urbanization of suburban peasants involves the correct treatment and transformation of traditional peasants and major issues in rural areas, and needs to become an important topic in sociology. This book sorts out and uses role theory to explain the social conditions of peri-urban peasant urbanization, understand the choices and difficulties of peri-urban farmers from the perspective of safety economics, and suggest that the national and local governments choose a more reasonable path to connect urban and rural communities to achieve smooth suburban peasant urbanization.（AI翻译）
