Conclusions Lessons from Studying Public Goods in China and Latin America

As the reader might have noticed,changing the approach to the same question can sometimes lead to new discoveries,be it intell-ectual or practical,especially when the approach is adopted by someone from other countries that share similar experiences.

The chapters in this book deal with the provision of a range of public goods from different disciplinary,methodological and geographical backgrounds.Nevertheless,taken together,it is possible to derive three common conclusions.Firstly,China and Latin America share similar problems; therefore,secondly,cooperation between the two provides considerable potential; but thirdly,there are a number of important obstacles that still need well-thought solutions in the short,medium and long term.
