Iznik ceramics have been produced in Iznik， historically known as Nicaea， situated by Lake Iznik and within the province of Bursa. For a period of 200 years between the 15^th and 17^th centuries of the Ottoman Period， namely in between 1480 and 1680， Iznik ceramics have been an important asset for Turkish culture and Turkish ceramic art in Anatolia.
