Zhou Zan is a poet, translator, dramatist and scholar, received a doctorate degree from the Chinese Linguistics and Literature Department at Peking University. Zhou is currently a researcher at the Institute of Literature of CASS. In 1998, she and poet Zhai Yongming founded the female poetry magazine Wing. In 1999, she won the Angao Prize of sorting out the anthology of poems, and published the anthology of poems Dream, or Self Observation. In 2008, She and Cao Kefei founded the Ladybug Drama Club.
