本书在现代百年中国文学的历史景深中，将20世纪90年代以来中国现代性呈现出的“后启蒙”、“后革命”、“世俗化”、“传媒化”等多幅文化图景、多种叙事美学症候，置于中国现代性悖论与知识分子精神困境这一勾连互动的历史性话题中，进行历史——审美的反思性阐释与批判性解析。论述借助历史——叙事——主体这一学术型模，打通叙事的内外边界，通过对当下诸种小说叙事美学形态及其文化精神内蕴的分析，既关注和回应着20世纪中国现代性的重大命题，又通过对20世纪中国现代性重大命题的关注，来清理叙事美学的历史文化肌理，并试图以此为基础，建立起当代文学批评的历史性与开放性品格。

In the historical depth of modern Chinese literature in the past century, this book places many cultural pictures and various narrative aesthetic symptoms such as "post-enlightenment", "post-revolution", "secularization" and "mediaization" presented by Chinese modernity since the 90s of the 20th century in the historical topic of the linkage and interaction between the paradox of Chinese modernity and the spiritual dilemma of intellectuals, and carries out historical-aesthetic reflective interpretation and critical analysis.
