西方哲学在20世纪对中国传统哲学究竟意味着什么，仍然是见仁见智的学术难题。本书将以西方哲学理解中国传统哲学的实践概括为唯物认知范式、科学认知范式、人文认知范式、逻辑认知范式、自我认知范式五大认知范式，以“认知范式”为主轴，系统、深入地考察了五大认知范式的形成过程和具体实践情形。在此基础上，充分肯定了西方哲学作为理解方法对于中国传统哲学世界化的意义，客观揭示了西方哲学方法应用实践中存在的问题，探寻了克服这些问题的对策。继而以“解释学”与“范式理论”为视角，分析了五大认知范式的相互关系，探讨了五大认知范式理解实践中的价值参与问题，揭示了五大认知范式转移的原因与方式。因此，我们如果从学术的、文明融合的视域去客观地检讨西方哲学在20世纪对中国传统哲学的所作所为，呈现于我们眼前的或许不全是悲观的景象。

What Western philosophy meant in the 20th century for traditional Chinese philosophy remains a difficult question of academic debate. This book summarizes the practice of Western philosophy to understand traditional Chinese philosophy into five cognitive paradigms: materialist cognitive paradigm, scientific cognitive paradigm, humanistic cognitive paradigm, logical cognitive paradigm, and self-cognitive paradigm, and systematically and deeply examines the formation process and specific practice of the five cognitive paradigms with "cognitive paradigm" as the main axis. On this basis, the significance of Western philosophy as a method of understanding to the globalization of traditional Chinese philosophy is fully affirmed, the problems existing in the application of Western philosophical methods are objectively revealed, and countermeasures to overcome these problems are explored. Then, from the perspectives of "hermeneutics" and "paradigm theory", the interrelationship of the five cognitive paradigms is analyzed, the value participation in the understanding practice of the five cognitive paradigms is discussed, and the reasons and methods of the five cognitive paradigm shifts are revealed. Therefore, if we objectively examine the behavior of Western philosophy in traditional Chinese philosophy in the 20th century from the perspective of academic and civilizational integration, what we present before us may not be all pessimistic.（AI翻译）
