The rise and vigorous development of global price chains is a typical feature of international trade in the 21st century. With the continuous advancement of reform and opening up, China has become an important participant and practitioner of the global value chain, a firm supporter and defender of the multilateral trading system, and a contributor and beneficiary of economic globalization. Based on China's opening-up strategy, this book deeply analyzes China's upgrading path in the global value chain system from six perspectives: tariffs, trade facilitation, utilization of foreign capital, outbound investment, service industry opening and manufacturing serviceization.
