本书以1947—1966年为时段，首次系统地利用前人未曾利用或未能充分利用的内蒙古牧区各级（自治区、盟市、旗、苏木、嘎查、生产队、巴嘎以及公私合营牧场）翔实的档案文献资料，较全面、深入、系统地研究了内蒙古牧区工作；分析了内蒙古牧区工作的开创性成就及其历史经验与启示；客观总结了内蒙古牧区在“大跃进”运动中的教训，指出了保护草原生态环境的重要性与意义；揭示了实事求是、因地制宜是推动内蒙古牧区社会发展的基本要求；论证了内蒙古牧区抗灾保畜工作的重要性；展示了内蒙古作为模范自治区在牧区工作方面的典范事例。本书旨在通过对内蒙古牧区变革和发展历史脉络的研究，为内蒙古打造北疆亮丽风景线的现实需要提供可借鉴的历史经验，同时也为中国其他几大典型牧区的同类课题提供可参考的研究思路，以期丰富和弥补中国牧区工作史研究的缺失。

Taking 1947-1966 as the period, this book systematically uses for the first time the detailed archival documents at all levels (autonomous region, league city, qi, sumu, gacha, production team, baga, and public-private partnership pastures) in Inner Mongolia that have not been used or underutilized before, and comprehensively, deeply and systematically studies the pastoral work in Inner Mongolia. The pioneering achievements of pastoral work in Inner Mongolia and their historical experience and enlightenment were analyzed. It objectively summarizes the lessons of pastoral areas in Inner Mongolia in the "Great Leap Forward" movement, and points out the importance and significance of protecting the grassland ecological environment. It revealed that seeking truth from facts and adapting measures to local conditions are the basic requirements for promoting the social development of pastoral areas in Inner Mongolia. The importance of disaster prevention and livestock protection in pastoral areas of Inner Mongolia was demonstrated. It shows the exemplary case of pastoral work in Inner Mongolia as a model autonomous region. Through the study of the historical context of the reform and development of pastoral areas in Inner Mongolia, this book aims to provide historical experience for reference for the practical needs of Inner Mongolia to create a beautiful landscape in northern Xinjiang, and also to provide reference research ideas for similar topics in other typical pastoral areas in China, in order to enrich and make up for the lack of research on the history of pastoral work in China.（AI翻译）
